Gas prices up again today

Gas prices across Illinois have taken another leap today. According to Triple-A, the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is now three-dollars-81 cents across the Land of Lincoln, that’s up six cents overnight. In the Kankakee area, gas jumped seven cents a gallon overnight to 3.79. Gas prices in our area have gone up 42 cents in the past month. Triple-A says gas in Iroquois County is running 3.58 on average, it’s 3.65 in Ford County and 3.74 in Grundy County.

Across the state line, a gallon of gas is 3.39 on average in Newton County, 3.48 in Benton  County and 3.50 in Jasper County. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of gas across the Hoosier State is three-dollars-58 cents, up some seven cents overnight.
