Kankakee Ranks 5th on a List of Worst Places to Live in Illinois

The city of Kankakee is ranked 5th on a list of the worst places to live in Illinois. The list was compiled by Money inc.com.  According to the website, crime, unemployment and a deteriorating city infrastructure earned Kankakee the number five spot.  Cairo was ranked as the worst place to live in the state followed by Harvey, East St. Louis, Rockford then Kankakee.
