Armstrong Stays Open

It’s good news for employees at the Armstrong Flooring plant in Kankakee on Rt. 50, the plant will remain open.  The company that filed for bankruptcy in May under some 300 million dollars of debt announced Sunday that they have reached a deal on a sale of the company to AHF LLC and Gordon Brothers for 107 million dollars and the assumption of unspecified liabilities.   The company is based in Lancaster Delaware and according to LNP Lancaster Online, the plants in Lancaster, Beech Creek Township Pennsylvania and Kankakee will remain open.
