Kankakee City Police report a gun arrest overnight. According to reports, officers were called to a hotel on Route 45/52 on the south side of Kankakee just after seven-thirty last night for a man causing trouble with a Greyhound bus. Officers were told the man had been on the bus arguing with some people and was asked to leave because he didn’t have a ticket. The man allegedly told the driver he would leave, but would be back with a gun. As officers arrived they say they saw the man, later identified as Ralph Sewell the third chambering a round in a firearm. As the bus pulled away, Sewell allegedly got in his car and followed it. Officers stopped the car at 45/52 and South Tec Drive. As Sewell got out of the car he reportedly told officers the gun was under the passengers front seat in the car. City Police arrested Sewell for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
