Year End County Stats Ready

The numbers are in for Kankakee County in 2022.  The Kankakee County Clerk’s office reports 1,223 births last year.  That’s down 45 from 2021.  The most popular boy’s names were Noah, Walker Bennett and William.  The most popular names for a girl were Olivia, Layla and Madison.  August and December saw the most babies born.  520 couples tied the knot last year.  11 less than the year before.  The oldest groom was 84 and the oldest bride was 78.  The youngest groom and bride were both 18.  June was the most popular month to tie the knot.
