The City of Kankakee has released crime statistic numbers for 2022. Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis says overall he’s pleased with the direction the numbers are taking
Curtis highlights some of the recently released numbers
Police officers confiscated 146 illegal weapons on City streets last year, down from 178 in 2021. Curtis added the City had seven homicides last year, a number he’d like to see at zero. So far this year, there has been one homicide in the city.
