The price of a gallon of gasoline is up again today, though only slightly. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is three-dollars-83 cents across the Land of Lincoln. That’s up about two cents overnight and up 13 cents in the past week. Locally, a gallon of gas in the Kankakee area is averaging 3.80 a gallon, up just a penny overnight, but up 15 cents in the past week and up 43 cents over the price a month ago. Triple-A says gas in Iroquois County is 3.58 a gallon, it’s 3.65 in Ford County and 3.74 in Grundy County.
Across the state line, a gallon of gas is 3.39 on average in Newton County, 3.48 in Benton County and 3.50 in Jasper County. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of gas across the Hoosier State is three-dollars-59 cents.
