Time is running out if you want to be a part of this year’s Superhero 5k and 2 mile walk. The event is a fundraiser for local non-profit Mattea’s Joy. Mattea’s Joy co-founder Jamie Freedlund says the organization was started in 2010 to bring care, connection and community to families with hospitalized children.
Freedlund says the Superhero themed 5k and two mile walk is coming up Saturday May 6th at the Perry Farm in Bourbonnais
The cost for the Superhero 5k and 2-mile walk is 30 dollars for adults and 15 dollars for children under 12. Freedlund says you can register the day of the event, but you’ll need to sign-up by the end of the day today if you’d like to be guaranteed an event t-shirt. You can register at runforjoy.org.
