A female passenger in a vehicle stopped by Kankakee Police Sunday night near
South Evergreen and East River was arrested on drug charges after officers searched the vehicle and discovered over 4 grams of crack cocaine hidden inside Cheetos bag where the woman was sitting. In her purse police say they located drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was stopped because the vehicle’s front license plate was improperly attached to the bumper. The driver was told to get it fixed and was sent on his way. The woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to the county lockup.
