Man Shot in Foot in Kankakee

Police were called to a Kankakee hospital Tuesday after a man arrived who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.  The victim says he was shot in the 200 block of North Hobbie while helping a friend move out of a home when he was approached by a man in his 30’s who asked for a cigarette.  The victim went on to say as he reached for a smoke from his car, a gun fell out of the suspect’s pocket and went off when it hit the ground.  The suspect grabbed the weapon and fled on foot.  The victim was taken to hospital by friends for treatment.  Police are looking for the guy.
