Kankakee City Police report a pair of arrests after the employee of a local business was allegedly caught giving her friend lottery tickets, then paying off for the winners. Reports say the manager of the business noticed last Friday that they were several thousand dollars short and a review of surveillance footage allegedly showed the employee, identified as 21-year-old Emma Stichter taking multiple lottery tickets and giving them to her friend, later identified as 23-year-old Mariah Johnson-Day. Reports say Day was seen scratching the tickets and handing them back to Stichter to be cashed in. Both Stitcher and Johnson-Day were arrested Monday by City Police for Felony Retail theft and conspiracy.
