Fire Destroys Chicken Coop in Rural Herscher

A small chicken coop near Herscher was destroyed by fire Wednesday morning. Herscher Fire Chief Corey Eich says the coop, which was near a garage was a total loss and there was mild to moderate damage done to the garage. No people were injured by the blaze, there’s no word on the chickens.
