Kankakee City Police report an arrest in a nearly year-old murder case. In a press release, City Police say authorities in Cape Girardeau, Missouri arrested 34-year-old Thearthur William Scott Junior February 8th after they’d been called to a report of a man with a gun. Reports say Scott was arrested without incident. A search reportedly turned up a loaded firearm with the markings removed and a set of brass knuckles. Local authorities had been searching for Scott since June 11th of last year when he allegedly shot and killed Elijah J. Robinson in the 200 block of Crestlane Drive in Kankakee. Local authorities are working with Missouri law enforcement on possible extradition for Scott to stand trial for the local homicide.
