One nabbed for alleged car theft

The Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force reports another arrest in connection with a car that was stolen from an automotive shop on West Jeffery in the City. According to reports, the car was left behind by a former customer and video footage allegedly shows 26-year-old Darnell R. Jones and another man taking the car from the lot on May 19th.  The other man, identified as Davon Baines had already been arrested in connection to the theft. Reports say the stolen car was taken to a scrap yard in Chicago Heights and was destroyed before either man was arrested.
