Monee Man Dies in Kankakee River

We have more now on the story we told you about Tuesday, where a 54-year-old Monee man died over the weekend following an apparent watercraft accident on the Kankakee River. The Wilmington Fire Protection District released a statement Tuesday saying they were called to the Kankakee River near the Des Plaines Conservation boat launch just after 6:15 Saturday night for a report of a body floating in the river. They, along with personnel from the Will County Coroner’s office recovered the body. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers identified the man as Angelo J. Triolo of Monee. He was pronounced dead just before 7:30 Saturday evening. Summers says her office and the Illinois Department of Conservation are investigating the incident.
