Peotone man died is motorcycle crash

A 46-year-old Peotone man is dead following a motorcycle accident Wednesday night. Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police were called to the crash at six-thousand-north and three-thousand-west in rural Manteno just after 6:30 last night. Reports say Everett S. Wengstrom was driving a motorcycle westbound on six-thousand north road, and was unable to stop before hitting cement blocks in the roadway just west of the intersection at three-thousand west. Wengstrom was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. County Sheriff’s Police are investigating the crash.
