Kankakee Police make arson arrest

An arrest has been made in connection with an incident where two cars were found on fire early this week. Kankakee Fire Chief Bryan LaRoche says 69-year-old Randal Rinehart was arrested Wednesday after eye witness reports and evidence collected following the incident tied Rinehart to the fire where two cars were found burning just after 12:30 Sunday morning in the 200 block of South 6th Avenue in Kankakee. Rinehart was arrested on a preliminary arson charge.
