Paxton woman arrested for alleged skimming from PBL booster club

Paxton Police report they’ve arrested a 44-year-old woman after she was allegedly caught skimming money from a school boosters club account. In a press release, Paxton Police say they were contacted by Paxton-Buckley-Loda schools to investigate what were thought to be fraudulent activity on the PBL Choral Boosters Club bank account. Paxton Police say that investigation allegedly found some 60 ATM withdrawals from the account between June 29th and August 17th of this year totaling about 21-thousand dollars. Tuesday of this week, Paxton Police arrested Tara Long and charged her with theft of between 10 and 100 thousand dollars.
