At Monday night’s Manteno Village Board Meeting, Mayor Annette LaMore vetoed every action passed at last Wednesday’s special board meeting held by trustees Joel Gesky, Todd Crockett, Annette Zimbelman, and CJ Boudreau.
Before Mayor LaMore listed the action items, she said last Wednesday’s special meeting was held illegally because trustees did not follow the proper procedures to convene the meeting. Trustee Joel Gesky responded as follows.
Mayor LaMore also said Marketing and Community Relations Director Ashley Peterson did not have the authorization to post the special meeting agenda to the Village website and would be disciplined accordingly. Trustee Gesky stood up for Peterson, saying she was just following orders in an attempt to be transparent and should not be punished.
