During Wednesday morning’s Kankakee County Board Criminal Justice Committee Meeting, State’s Attorney Jim Rowe told the committee about a new program
Rowe called it Kankakee County’s first Witness Protection program
Rowe said it’s hoped the new-found resources will help bring witnesses and victims of violent crimes forward, knowing the County can take reasonable steps to help keep them safe. Even if that means helping them start a new life somewhere else.
