Fire damages Peotone barn

Manhattan firefighters were called to a barn fire in Peotone Friday night. A press release says Manhattan Fire Protection District Firefighters were called to the blaze in the 29-thousand block of South Joliet Road around seven Friday night. When they got there, firefighters say they found smoke coming from the barn and confirmed a working fire. Reports say the fire was quickly brought under control and there were no injuries reported. The fire was thought to have been accidental in nature.
