Kankakee County States Attorney Jim Rowe reports a 70-year-old former Kankakee priest was found guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault Friday and now faces up to 30-years in prison. On his Facebook page, Rowe says a Kankakee County Jury Friday found Richard Jacklin guilty of the 2017 assault on a patient at Shapiro Developmental Center where Jacklin had been providing religious services. The conviction carries a mandatory six to 30-year sentence and Jacklin will have to serve 85-percent of the time. He’ll be sentenced at a later date.
