Danville woman shot in Paxton

A woman was shot in the head in Paxton over the weekend.  Paxton police say it happened in the 600 block of North American street where a weapon was located by officers. The 19 year old Danville woman was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment.  Police say the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the general public.   No arrests have yet been made.  The investigation is ongoing.  The woman was listed in stable condition.
