Law enforcement officials in Cedar Lake Indiana say they’ll spend part of their day today recovering a pair of UTV’s that broke through the ice on a pond in the area. Cedar Lake Police say they were called to the pond Sunday and found one of the UTVs in the water and the operator and his son safely on the shore. They say the incident drew other off roaders and another vehicle broke through the ice. The driver of that UTV allegedly jumped onto another and left the scene without speaking to police. Cedar Lake Police say they’d like to talk to that person. Both off-road vehicles are stuck in the pond and are expected to be recovered today.
