Kankakee City Police Report Gun Arrest Sunday

A routine traffic stop conducted by Kankakee City Police Sunday led to the seizure of multiple firearms. Reports say officers pulled over a white Nissan Rogue in the 500 Block of East Station Street around 4 Sunday morning for speeding. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Brian S. Sandoval, who turned out to have a suspended drivers license. A search of the car turned up multiple firearms, one of them reported stolen out of Kankakee. Sandoval was charged with possession of a stolen firearm among several other gun related charges.
