Gas prices are down slightly today as we head into the weekend. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no lead gas is four-dollars-98 cents across the Land of Lincoln, that’s down a penny overnight, but more than a half-dollar a gallon more expensive than it was a month ago. In the Kankakee area, Triple-A says gas is running 4.95 on average, also down a penny overnight, but 18 cents more expensive than at this time last week. Gas in Iroquois County running 4.91 a gallon. It’s 4.91 a gallon on average in Ford County, 4.92 on average in Grundy County and 4.94 on average in Will County.
Across the State Line, Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back four-dollars-64 cents a gallon on average in Newton County. It’s 4.89 on average in Benton County and 4.83 a gallon in Jasper County. Triple-A says a gallon of gas is running four-dollars 53 cents on average across the Hoosier State. The nation-wide average for a gallon of gas, four-dollars-54 cents.
