A 63-year-old Rensselaer man was killed Saturday in a crash between his motorcycle and a car in rural Jasper County. In a Facebook post, Jasper County Deputies say they were called to Route 14 and County road 11-hundred West in rural Rensselaer just after 4:30 Saturday afternoon by a person who said they’d come across a crash between a car and a motorcycle, but didn’t find anyone in the area. A few minutes later the person called back to say they’d found an unresponsive man in a wooded area nearby. When they got there, officers identified the man as 63-year-old Randy Sizemore of Rensselaer and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the car was found about a half mile south of the crash fleeing the area on foot. Jasper County Sheriff’s Police identified the man as 21-year-old Esly Isai Fuentes Sanabria of Rensselaer. Fuentes Sanabria has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, criminal recklessness resulting in death and operating a motor vehicle while never licensed and has been ordered held on a half-million dollars bond. Jasper County Sheriff’s Police say Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have also placed a detainer on him. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
