Chickens loose after I-80 crash

Indiana State Police were left with a mess to clean up Tuesday when a truck crashed on the eastbound I-80 ramp to I-90. That crash resulted in 28 crates of live chickens scattered across the lanes of the ramp, each crate holding up to eight chickens. Troopers say some of the chickens got loose and had to be corralled by the ISP. They say dozens of chickens died in the crash and the truck left the scene after losing its cargo.
