It’s Labor Day weekend, that means the return of the boat races on the Kankakee River. In a recent edition of the Kankakee Valley Community Happenings Podcast with Mike Tomano, Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis talked about the full weekend of events.
Curtis says it’s free to watch the races, but you do need to pay for parking. It’s 10 dollars a day to buy parking in advance at kankakeeriverregatta.com, it’ll cost 15 dollars the day of the event. The regatta runs Friday through Sunday.
